Genevelyn Crawford is an anointed woman called by God, mother, entrepreneur, registered nurse and public speaker. She is a native of Montgomery, Alabama; the founder of GLC Ministries; and also the pastor and founder of Back to Basics Ministries for 13 years.
She is an advocate of entrepreneurship, stepping in as an encourager and motivator to many who desire financial and spiritual freedom. As a scholar, Genevelyn is a product of HBCU and attended Tuskegee University, where she studied nursing, completing her degree at George C. Wallace Community College and working as a nurse for 33 years.
As an entrepreneur, Genevelyn is an epitome of what it means to be a successful Christian woman in business. Over the years, she has founded and expanded multiple businesses to success and respectable recognition, all across Alabama. She is the owner of Sweet Gees Restaurant & Catering in Opelika, AL; the co-owner of Roadrunner Express Delivery Service; and the founder of GLC Enterprises, Montgomery, Alabama.
Genevelyn’s most striking characteristic is her desire to bring out the best in others. She continues to be an inspiration to people around her, encouraging and supporting them to live a truly fulfilled life. Through her church, Back to Basics ministries, Genevelyn guides and uplifts her congregation in the way of God. In addition, she is the Director of Women’s Division for Global Fellowship for State of Alabama. She also supports community development by speaking regularly at virtual boot camps and conferences.
She is married to Otis Crawford, Jr., her lover and husband for 34 years, and is a proud mother of five. Today, she is revered as Christian woman in business. Above all, her main purpose is to fulfill the divine will of God! Isaiah 40:28-30, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
